It was a fun project to tackle, though simple in scope. She had just had her pool deck redone and a pergola built, but could not really enjoy being outside with her grandkids due to the heat. So she wanted a screen porch conversion to an air-conditioned space.

During the initial consult process I was worried that they were budgeting too conservatively and would wind up regretting that in design. They really wanted us to do the project and said they'd be OK if the budget increased but wanted to try their best to stick to it. To my surprise they did!

- [1936 Bath and Kitchen Update, Whole Home Re-pipe in Havana](https://mcmanuskitchenandbath.com/project/older-kitchen-update-in-havana/): This kitchen update is in the forever home of a wonderful couple in Havana getting ready for their retirement years. They had made a number of improvements to the house already and were now ready to tackle the kitchen and master bath. As part of the project they also wanted to re-pipe the whole house.

After their initial consultation, we decided to remove a wall in the kitchen so we could expand it and reconfigure the laundry room for more storage and counterspace.

With several different heights and depths of cabinetry it really did look like a decorative cake. And the soon to be butler's pantry was a mess, they had been putting off organizing it because they knew a remodel was on their agenda.
