Project Sumary:

This beautiful mountain-inspired Tallahassee bathroom remodel is complete with copper finishes and hickory cabinets, a larger shower, and a to-die-for closet. The goal for this project was to update the bathroom and significantly change the layout of the closet.

What we did

We removed several walls, transforming two smaller closets into one large one with an island. We then added the gorgeous copper freestanding tub, enlarged the shower, and added a second showerhead with body sprays. The result was a spectacular, large closet and an updated, unique bathroom that was just what our clients wanted.

Crawfordville Master Bath on a Budget

Total Cost: $56,969

Elliot Holtom, Project Manager

Stephanie Jen, Designer

Time To Complete: 8 Weeks (we finished a week early!)

Project Summary:

The goal of this project was to transform the master bathroom into a functional and stylish space while working within a conservative budget. Sticking to a conservative budget doesn’t mean settling for cheap solutions—it means making thoughtful, value-driven decisions.

They embraced our Good, Better, Best approach, which you can read more about here, which allowed us to prioritize their needs without sacrificing quality or style. We made some major improvements to the space, including improved ventilation, better and updated lighting, and–one of our favorite features–a larger vanity complete with two sinks and a quartz countertop.

What we did

We removed the corner tub that the homeowners never used and replaced the small, leaky shower with a beautiful curbed one. The homeowners chose a curbed shower instead of a barrier-free one to keep costs down, and with its teak bench and shower niche, it looks updated and beautiful.

We teamed up with the homeowners to stick to their conservative budget by sourcing a lower-cost (but still gorgeous) vanity from JSI. They worked hard on their end by making selections that fit both their style and financial goals. They also chose to paint the space themselves.

Finally, we updated the lighting and ventilation. The end result is a beautiful, modern, light-filled, relaxing space.

For a polished look, we added Ormonde pulls from Top Knobs. To save costs, the homeowners kept their existing medicine cabinet and mirrors, which fit perfectly into the updated design.

Shower and Tile

The shower walls are finished with Reserva tiles from Emser Tile, while the shower floor features Le Cafe hex tiles from Bedrosians for a stylish contrast. The bathroom floor ties the space together with Makato hex tiles, also from Bedrosians.

Fixtures and Accessories

We added Kohler Venza faucets and a Delta Trinsic shower system for a modern touch. The homeowners chose to reuse their existing toilet and vanity lights, keeping the project both budget-friendly and eco-conscious.

Remodeling for Retirement in Buck Lake

Total Cost: $86,536

Sam Burton, Project Manager

Stephanie Jen, Designer

Time To Complete: 8 Weeks

Project Summary:

The goal for this bathroom remodel was to make it ready for the homeowners’ retirement by removing the old, dated garden tub and adding a large, barrier-free walk-in shower. They chose to tackle the whole bathroom, and the results were stunning.

What We Did

This bathroom is now accessible and beautiful, a relaxing space that the homeowners will enjoy for years. The grab bar and raised toilet height make it comfortable and secure, and the barrier-free shower (meaning there’s no curb or step) allows easy use even if mobility becomes difficult someday.

The blue tile and vanity bring freshness to the space, and the updated lighting and ventilation mean that the bathroom is more attractive and more comfortable. The gorgeous new vanity and Cambria quartz countertop complete the serene design.

Quote from the client:

“I’m so glad McManus was recommended to us as everything from the design process through completion went so smoothly and we love our new bathroom!”

Aging in Place at Miller’s Bridge Road

Total Cost: $164,446

Elliot Holtom, Project Manager

Stephanie Jen, Designer

Time To Complete: 12 Weeks (2 weeks over schedule)

Project Sumary:

The main goal for this project was to address both the dated nature of this bathroom and the hazardous recessed shower floor with slippery tile. The homeowners (who we’ve worked for in the past, remodeling their kitchen!) wanted a bathroom that provided better storage and was a safe and comfortable place for them now and in the future.

We were able to accomplish this for them and included great features such as heated flooring, a soaking tub, and a barrier-free shower. We love how it turned out!

What we did

We completely gutted this bathroom and removed a small linen cabinet. We raised the formerly dangerous shower floor and built a barrier-free shower. We added luxurious heated flooring throughout the bathroom–such a great feature.

We made a separate toilet area and installed a bidet system, which is a great option for aging in place. We addressed the lack of storage in this bathroom by adding custom cabinets for maximized storage.

For the vanity, we added a stunning Pari Gold wall mirror from Lillian Home, paired with the Tilsbury two-handle faucet in polished nickel. . Bathroom Remodel on Bradfordville Road

Total Cost: $130,439

Elliot Holtom, Project Manager

Stephanie Jen, Designer

Time To Complete: 11 Weeks (1 week over schedule)

Project Sumary:

The goal for this project was to remodel the master bathroom and make it accessible and easy to use for the homeowners now and in the future. To do this, it was necessary to replace the built-in tub with a barrier-free shower (the bathroom oddly didn’t have a shower at all before the remodel–just a tub!).

What we did

With our focus being making the bathroom accessible, we replaced the built-in tub with a barrier-free, curbless shower. We widened doorways to allow for better access, and installed grab bars and a taller toilet.

We made sure to prioritize storage, adding built-in storage towers for a clutter-free space. We took out the blue tile and replaced it with a crisp white and black color scheme. The homeowner is an artist and added a lovely piece of artwork to finish the space.
