The house at 1908 lacked a proper focus to the front entrance and the mid day sun shined directly into the front windows often overheating the living room. The solutions was a pergola and deck construction.

The deck really highlights the path to the front door and the pergola has been a great place to visit with the neighbors and it shades the house so the living room no longer overheats.

The deck construction also created a nice place to grow herbs and tomatoes… nothing like walking right out your front door to pick fresh herbs for dinner!
