Project Overview

Our clients originally came to us wanting to do a partial remodel. After going through our process and considering all the options, they decided to do a full renovation of their Master Bath.

One of their main concerns was additional storage. They wanted a place to hide their laundry hampers and store additional clothes in the bathroom area. They also wanted to hide their shavers, toothbrushes, face washes, etc. to keep the counters free of clutter. As a whole, their design goal was to modernize things a bit and get away from their dated early 2000’s bathroom.

Another big reason they decided to work with us was due to our design and build approach. Our turn-key approach was very important to them as they both are very busy individuals. Having the general contractor, designer, ordering, storing, project management and all of the subcontractors provided under one roof was something they really needed to keep their lives on track and minimally disrupted.

Scope of Work

For this master bath remodel, we removed their jacuzzi tub and added some built-in cabinets with hamper storage. We updated the shower to be barrier-free with new tile and fixtures and added a niche for product storage. We replaced their vanity and storage tower and gave the room a fresh coat of paint.

Actual Completion

Typically bath remodels take about five weeks to complete. This does not include the time it takes to template countertops. The turnaround time on templating countertops is usually about a week, but with labor and material shortages, it’s now taking about three weeks.

We had some issues with the tile. Shipments arrived damaged… twice, which set us back a bit.

Selections

Cabinets

The client selected Bellmont 1300’s series in the Horizon door style in the color Grau for the vanity cabinets and Belmont 1600’s series in the Porta door style in the color Grigio with a laundry hamper organizer for additional storage.

Contemporary Metal Cabinet Pulls are from Richelieu in an Antique Nickel Finish.

Countertops

The 3 cm quartz countertop is by Cambria in the style Ella with a square edge. On the vanity, the countertop is continued up the wall for a side splash.

Tile

On the floors, we chose a 12″ x 24″ Emser tile called Potenza in the color Dove in a stacked pattern.

In the shower, there’s a traditional white subway tile, another Emser tile called Craft II, on the wall. On the shower floor and as an accent in the niche, we installed a hex tile from Crossville Studios called Invidia in the color Calcatta.

Lighting

Above the vanity mirrors, we installed 24″ LED lights from Park Harbor.

Above the shower, there is a Broan SurfaceShield™ exhaust fan with a blue light to prevent mold, bacteria, and fungi growth.

There is another exhaust fan/light combo in the toilet room by Aero Pure.

Plumbing

The vanity sinks are standard under-mounted sinks. The faucets are from Moen’s Genta Collection in a brushed nickel finish.

We installed a new American Standard toilet with a dual flush. In the shower, we installed Delta Valves and Fixtures.

  • Delta Wide Multi-Function Showerhead
  • Delta Integrated Volume Control and 6 Function Diverter Valve
  • Delta Single Function Hand Shower

Accessories

Aside from the heated towel bar, which is by HERMES, all of the accessories are from Delta’s Ara Collection in a matte black finish.

Trade Partners

We’ve been developing relationships with quality trade partners for years. We tend to use the same subcontractors because we trust their work and have developed a great working relationship with them. This helps make projects run smoother.
