Great Appliances and Cabinets Create a Small but effective Chef’s Kitchen

I wish I had kept some exterior pictures of this house. It’s a cool one. The bulk of this project was the new white kitchen cabinets and granite counter tops, as well as the high end appliances. We did remove a small closet to make room for a commercial fridge and a little extra storage. The bench seating in the dining nook was a great way to add storage as well as make room for extra dinner guests.

The white kitchen cabinets were done by Cabinetry Design Studio using Medallion Cabinets. Medallion Cabinets are semi custom, all wood cabinets with self closing drawers and European hinges. They are great combination of utility and beauty and we recommend them to many clients. Perhaps my favorite part of the kitchen is the range hood, it really stands out as a centerpiece and even though its quite large it makes the room feel larger.

Appliances and Cabinets aside, the kitchen also got a fresh coat of paint and some new wooden shutters. We protected the floors as they were remaining and the homeowner did not want to refinish them. We did salvage some flooring from the closet we removed so we could fill in a few gaps here and there from removing the closet walls.
