We’re not just pulling data from a national survey. We remodel bathrooms across Tallahassee every week—and we’ve seen the common problems first-hand: outdated plumbing, low CFM fans, cramped vanities, poor storage. This assessment is designed with our local homes in mind.

There are 3 important parts to planning a remodel: knowing what you want done, finding a contractor who can deliver the quality and service you want…. and cost.
Our Remodeling Cost Calculator is useful tool for exploring cost.

We collected anonymous results from the bathroom planner and compiled them to give you an idea of what common results are. The assessment is broken into 5 categories: General, Layout, Appearance, Lifestyle and ROI.
The bathroom planner data shows that 18% of participants have electrical panels or wiring over 50 years old, which indicated they may need a panel or wiring upgrade.
27% of respondents have water heaters over a decade old, which can lead to increased energy costs and potential failures.
Furthermore, 19% revealed they still have galvanized plumbing, known for its susceptibility to corrosion and leaks.
64% of respondents feel their bathroom layout is not efficient and 60% of people who completed the bathroom assessment feel their bathroom isn’t big enough.
More than 80% said their bathroom did not have good ventilation.
63% of people responding to the bathroom planner said their cabinets were worn or damaged and 83% said their bathroom surfaces were hard to clean.
Only 40% of people completing the assessment said they enjoyed using their bathroom.
78% of the respondents said they like to improve the accessibility of their bathroom and make it work better for their needs.
Everyone surveyed had lived in their home at least 6 months and planned to stay there for 3 years or more.
Home value for 65% of respondents was greater than $500,000 and lived in neighborhoods where many of the homes had been remodeled.
This data indicated that they could expect an ROI between 55% and 60%.
