Most remodeling projects feel unpredictable… ours don’t. From the very first call we create a ‘remodel roadmap’ for your project so you always know what to expect.

I’m Paul McManus, owner of McManus Kitchen & Bath. I’ve been a licensed contractor here in Tallahassee for 20 years and specializing in kitchens and bathrooms for more than a decade.
We’ve built our company around a different model than most remodeling contractors… with an in-house design team, a dedicated showroom, and a structured process that plans every detail before construction begins.
Because a remodel is not just built on a jobsite. It is built with careful design and planning. If that plan is not certain before demo day the project isn’t really a project, it’s a gamble with your home.

We get better results because we do things other remodeling contractors don’t.
| McManus Kitchen & Bath | Other Contractors | |
|---|---|---|
| Design | In-house design team | On your own or outsourced |
| Materials Selections | Finalized before start | Finalized during construction |
| Material Orders | Ordered in advance | Ordered as needed |
| Schedule | Detailed, made in advance | Flexible / shifting / none |
| Change Orders | Avoided with good planning | Common due to poor planning |
| Project Management | On site every day | Occasional site visits |
| Warranty | 5-year comprehensive warranty | Limited, 1 year labor only |
Six steps between where your home is now and where you want it to be.
1A 15 minute call with the owner, Paul McManus, to better understand your project needs and goals so we can decide together if we are the right choice for your remodel.
2Our estimate process includes 3D concept drawings, a project timeline, detailed scope of work and ‘good-better-best’ material options.
3Meet in our showroom to finalize your design and material selections. Our designers will use 3D renderings and real material samples to help you visualize the project.
4We order everything, inspect it and store in our warehouse until needed. Your project manager creates a detailed project schedule and gets your permits approved.
5Once everything is in place we execute the plan. Your project manager is on site every day for quality control, job site organization and to make sure you always know what to expect.
65-year warranty including annual ‘tune-up’ visits to make sure everything stays working as expected.
Estimate and Design: Paul & Sarah

Paul studied architecture at the University of Florida. One of the key takeaways from that study was how the design of a space could change the way you feel, and even the way you live.
"This business and our clients are very important to me but I also enjoy travel and have visited more than 38 countries across the globe, many of them more than once. Travel has helped shape my worldview and my design aesthetic."

Sarah holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architecture and Industrial Design. Her professional background includes designing luxury residences in Miami and Puerto Rico, with experience in custom home design, kitchen and bathroom design, and project execution.
Her architectural background brings a thoughtful approach to each project, balancing aesthetics, spatial planning, and the practical details that bring a design to life. At McManus Kitchen & Bath, she enjoys working closely with homeowners to turn their ideas into spaces that feel personal and reflect how they live.
Outside of design, she’s happiest spending time with her wife and son, exploring good food, and finding the next great place to eat.
While you go about your daily routine Kevin and Sam are on-site ensuring quality, efficiency, and keeping your home clean and organized.

When working with a local renovation contractor always check their license at myfloridalicense.com and have their insurance agent email you proof of insurance (don’t accept copies).
Our license number is CRC1331326.
Visit the Department of Professional Regulation’s website to look up our license number and confirm it is valid.
We carry 3 types of insurance: General Liability, Commercial Auto and Workers Compensation Insurance.
We can have our local agent, Baker Harris Insurance email you proof of insurance on request.
Our estimate process, called a design and budget consult, consists of a home visit to get measurements followed by a showroom visit where we review your ‘Good-Better-Best’ budget and 3D design concepts.
Read more about our design and budget consult here.
We have a detailed breakdown of project timelines on this page. You can also see the timeline and project costs for specific projects in our project gallery.
With those factors in mind we usually start new projects between 4 – 6 months after your initial consult.
We have a remodeling costs page dedicated to answer that question, including a custom cost calculator.
Bathroom costs can range from $35,000 to $150,000 or more. Kitchens are similar.
We are not exclusive. We work with homeowners from all walks of life and backgrounds.
For us luxury is about a personalized experience and a design customized to your needs. That does not necessarily mean expensive materials or elaborate design. We even wrote a blog post about it.
For all our clients we provide a very high level of service with the goal of making the remodeling experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.
I would say you don’t hire us for the lowest price, you hire us for the best experience. For an idea of cost you can visit our Remodeling Costs Page
We do cost more than remodeling contractors who do not have a showroom and provide in-house design services, take care of all the ordering and storage of materials and provide daily project management.
Our ‘good-better-best’ estimate will outline all the costs associated with your project, including our project management and design fees, so you can make an informed decision.
Our remodeling estimates aren't guesses or "good starting points." They're based on real material numbers and historic costs, and include a design consult in our showroom.
This is the right way to start: with a realistic budget and a clear remodeling plan.
If you're struggling with an outdated kitchen or bathroom, schedule a call with the owner, Paul McManus, to discuss options and see if we can help.
