The in home consult takes about 60 minutes. The goal is to discuss ideas and get detailed measurements.
What to Expect During Your In-Home Design Consultation
Worried about what to expect when someone shows up at your house? You might be wondering: How long will it take? Do I need to clean? Is this going to be a sales pitch?
The initial home visit takes 30-60 minutes. If there are lots of questions we’re happy to stick around longer. The main goals are to see the space, your goals and get detailed measurements.
Step 1 of the estimate process is the home visit, step 2 is a visit to our showroom to review design and budget options.
1. We Start by Listening — Not Pitching
Your goals, your space, your timeline — that’s what matters. We’ll begin the visit by asking questions and listening closely.
What are you hoping to change? What’s not working in your space today? We want to understand the “why” behind your project before we ever talk about products or pricing.
Ultimately, it’s about helping you make the right choice for your needs.
2. We Take Detailed Measurements and Photos
Accuracy is key to a successful design. Once we’ve talked through your goals, we’ll walk the space together and then we’ll take some photos and do a 3D Scan of the space to capture measurements and details.
This helps us create a detailed 3D rendering of your existing layout — and ensures that what we design later is tailored exactly to your space.
3. We Discuss Your Design Style and Functional Needs
Form follows function — and we want to balance both. We’ll ask questions about how you use your space, what you like or don’t like in terms of design, and any must-haves for your layout.
Whether you already have a vision or need help shaping one, we’ll guide you without overwhelming you.
4. We Explain What Happens Next — and Book Your Showroom Appointment
Before we leave you’ll know exactly what the next steps are.
After the home visit we’ll send you an email with a link to schedule your private showroom appointment, where you’ll see your 3D design, review product options, and build a custom ‘good-better-best’ budget.
By the End of Your Home Visit, You’ll Have:
-
-
A clearer idea of what’s possible in your space
-
-
-
A trusted design partner who understands your vision
-
-
-
A scheduled next step toward your personalized design
