Explore design options and get a realistic budget for your project.

We call our estimate process a design and budget consult because it is more than a simple estimate. Start with a home visit, then get two hours of uninterrupted time with a remodeling expert in our showroom.
There are 3 steps:
1We do a 3D scan of the space to get accurate measurements.
2We will create 3D concept drawings for your project and a ‘good, better, best’ estimate to go with each concept.
3Meet with a designer in our showroom to review your 3D design, material samples and customize the plan and budget for your project.
The process takes about a week. You leave with 3D concept drawings, a realistic budget and a clear understanding of the remodeling process and next steps.
That is where the conversation started, and it was not a bad starting point. The room felt cramped. There was never enough space while cooking. Expanding the kitchen seems to make sense.
But because our consult process is exploratory we did what we always do… we asked the “5 Whys”
The conversation went something like this:
“We would like a bigger kitchen”
Because there is never enough room when I am cooking.
Because the counter next to the stove is always covered.
Because that is where the coffee maker, the toaster, and the mail all live.
Because there is nowhere else to put them, and the mail lands there on the way in from the garage.
Because there is no drop zone by the garage door and no place to store small appliances.
The first answer was a bigger kitchen. The real answer was a drop zone by the garage door and dedicated storage for small appliances.
That turned out to be a simpler project and one that actually addressed the real reason they were unhappy with their kitchen.
Most contractors will just do what you ask them. Our design and budget consult is where we find out what the real problems are and discuss how to address them.

We start with a discovery call to learn about your project. We’ll talk about what you want done and provide some ballpark costs. If we seem like a good fit we will schedule a design and budget consult.

Answer a few questions and get a budget range for your kitchen or bath remodel.

“How a contractor handles the estimate process is a good indicator for how they will run your project. Pay attention to how they communicate, schedule, follow up and the details they provide.”
