Flooring Trends That Will Last

3 Flooring Trends For 2023

Replacing your floor tile is time consuming and disruptive. Everything in the room or house needs to be removed and the demo can be dusty and noisy.

So when you’re ready to replace your flooring you want to make smart choices so it lasts for a long time and you’re not thinking about replacing it in 5 or 6 years.

We always recommend investing in the best flooring you can. While flooring trends come and go we think the 3 products listed here are great choices. Two of them have been around forever and the other, while relatively new, seems like it will also be around for a very long time.

1. Luxury Vinyl Plank

2023 Flooring Trends - Luxury Vinyl Planks

Luxury Vinyl plank (LVP) or Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) has been around for a while now and continues to grown in popularity. Vendors such as Coretec and Happy Feet and coming out with new colors and improved finishes every year.

In a perfect world we’d have everyone choose real wood or high quality engineered wood floors. But the reality is wood floors can scratch easily, are suceptible to water damage and are getting more and more expensive.

Luxury Vinyl Plank on the other hand is 100% waterproof, very durable (great for pets) and cost effective. It also attractive and comes in a wide variety of colors.

2. Tile Flooring Trends

While wood look tiles are losing in popularity to LVP, other tile options are as popular as every.

A big trend for some time now has been larger tiles with minimal grout lines. Tile come in very large sizes these days – up to 5 ft x 10 ft in the case of Laminam tiles by Crossvile

Large format tile look great but can be hard to install properly. Tiles up to 24×24 are not too challenging but much larger than that requires special tools, knowledge and extra hands to handle the larger tile.

Some common tiles to consider
